New Kia Cars

Kyungsung Precision Industry was founded on May 25, 1944 as a manufacturer of hand made bicycle parts. In 1951, the name was changed to Kia as the company went from making bicycle parts to making the first Korean bicycle. Six years later, Kia introduced the first Korean scooter. As the post-war economy expanded, Kia delved into making trucks and eventually cars. However, it was until 1994 that Kia entered the American market with only a handful of dealers in California. Initially, there were some concerns regarding craftsmanship, but in a short time, the Korean car maker made huge gains in both quality and reliability. Today, Kia is one of the fastest growing car manufacturers in the USA. The company’s success is based on two objectives: value and quality. Kia’s model lineup includes the Amanti, Optima, Rio, Sedona, Sorento, Spectra5 and Sportage.
