New Jeep Cars

In the late 1930s, the Willys-Overland Company earned the contract to produce a general purpose vehicle for the American military. The GP that resulted was well liked by the troops for its durability during World War II, and consequently the first civilian version – the CJ2A was introduced in 1945, quickly earned a reputation for simplicity and toughness in difficult situations. During the 1950s, the Jeep baton passed from Willys to AMC, to Renault, then Chrysler, and more recently to DaimlerChrysler. Today, there are four Jeep models including the Commander, the Cherokee, the Liberty, and the Wrangler.
