New Honda Cars

An avid motoring enthusiast, Soichiro won his first racing trophy in 1936 at the All-Japan Speed Rally, but nearly died when his car crashed after setting a speed record. After World War II, Soichiro saw opportunity to start an automotive company of his own. Initially, he bought a surplus of compact generators from the army and attached them to bicycle frames. The success of the mopeds, led to the development of motorbikes, which in turn served as a catalyst for Honda Motor Company to manufacture automobiles. Honda came to USA with the launch of the Accord in 1976, and successfully established solid footing in the mid-range, luxury car market. Today, there are nine Honda’s on sale in the USA including two hybrids. These include the Accord, Civic, CR-V, Element, Insight, Odyssey, Pilot, Ridgeline, and the S2000.
