New Dodge Cars

In 1914, Horace and John Dodge established the Dodge Brothers Motor Vehicle Company after working for John Ford for 12 years. In their first year, they introduced the “old Betsy,” a rugged car engineered for reliability and durability. By the year’s end they had built and sold 249 cars. With their new found success, the founders continued to innovate. They even built a manufacturing process that would bake enamel onto steel bodies. In 1920, the year the brother’s passed away, Dodge was one of the largest automotive companies. Today, Dodge is known as the performance division of Chrysler, with nine Dodge vehicles in the market. These include the Caliber, Caravan, Charger, Magnum, Sprinter Wagon, Stratus, and the Viper sports car.
